Even the Even Ones Too — la premia poesia

I’m sitting at the dining room table. Fifteen feet away our construction crew is moving the door that got us out of our house into the side yard.

The sounds of drills and hammers and our dogs' vocal interest in the activity are ringing through the house.

That space is becoming a sunroom and soon the space where I write.

The Poet Projects is doing so well, now that I have 70 subscribers, that we can afford to put this addition on the house.

I can say that because of poetic license.

Maybe 70 subscribers is not enough for a sunroom. It seems like enough.

It’s poetry right? How many subscribers did Emily Dickinson have when she was writing?

In celebration of 70, and because it is Thanksgiving week, I am going to feature a few poems from the vault.

Call them reruns if you want, which is quite valid. But I’m in season two now, and most of you probably missed a lot of season one.

Today’s rerun is the first poem on the site, “Even the Even Ones Too” and tells the origin story of this poetry blog. It’s clever and informative and functional.

I am planning a book soon–another of the many projects that I’m working on.

And perhaps some merch.

I drink from a PrOjEcTs mug that my son Oliver got for me. It is the only mug I use now.

Here’s to merch!

Thank you so much for subscribing. I hope that I continue to reward the time you take to read my poems and blog posts.
